Did you read what I wrote? If you're careful with your surfing and have a firewall, you should be fine. I said anti-virus is optional, not firewall...

Yeah, I mean not having anti-virus is sort of stupid.

But yeah, I am definetly not going to go to any iffy sites or download iffy things. I've been extra careful with this new laptop.

Chuck scan those machines your claiming to be clean with one of the online scanners and see what you get.

Okay DarqHelmet. I have had this laptop for over a year now. I run my system with an anti-virus and keep it up to date. I'm careful with my surfing and downloading and I have a firewall. To this date, on this laptop, I have gotten 0, read, ZERO viruses and the most 'adware' I've gotten, according to Spybot are some tracking cookies. So I'll reiterate, if you surf and download carefully, you do not necessarily need an antivirus. I've been careful and even if I didn't have this anti-virus, I still would not have any viruses. An antivirus scan merely confirms that for me.

Good for you Chuck I have about 400 computers on a .mil network with multiple firewalls and filtered internet and they still pick up virus I will take my many over your one anyday and keep AV on all my machines.

* I am not being sarcasict, thats awesome you havn't picked anything up.

well i use macfee virus and firewall and spysweeper. my pc is fine never get virus or spyware

not me, last month dled 76.8GB and uled 89.2GB. worms are diffcult to get if you torrent but much easier to get if you use emule or soemthing like that. just dont open freesexinside.exe or soemthing like that and you'll be fine
