Bad image after 7900GS installation

I have an Inspiron E1705 with a 7800Go card initially. Got my hands on a 7900GS card and installed it. I also made sure my BIOS was up to date. After installation, I booted it up, and installed the 7900GS dell drivers. Now the image on my monitor looks stunningly bad. I can see the images and read the fonts, but the colors are off, the screen flickers oddly, and the colors are off.

I've tried adjusting the settings using the nvidia utility, but it STILL looks crappy. Any idea what to do or if I did anything wrong?

Thanx!

a new 7900gs? Also is the card over clocked? What about when you are in BIOS are the colors still off?

The 7900GS is a new card from Dell. It has not been overclocked. The screen still looks odd even when in testing mode or in the initial BIOS verification screen
