Can't burn movies DVD/RW & CD/RW

I have a 9880 with a Toshiba DVD/RW and a Pioneer CD/RW that will burn music CD's & data dvd's & CD's but will not burn movies in DVD format. I use Nero 7 Ultra and Ashampoo for burning. I can install programs on CD's and DVD's and read CD's & DVD's, just can't burn mpeg, avi files to DVD.

Any clues on what is going on?

Might be that the drive just does not like the media that you are using. What type of errors do you get when attempting the NERO drive tests?
