A friend of mine has a n52-- i think he bought it directly from Belkin for 40 $ .-- its amazing and i love the feedback - altho i dont get to play on it much - as ive just moved to a new town and lack a pc.

This being my first post in the forums, i must say im glad i made the choice of buying the m9700. Believe me , its been over a month since ive ordered an alienware lappy. My first order was the m5550, which i cancelled for the aurora m9700 - cuz i realized how much i missed all my games back home when i moved into the new place.

I just have a few nagging questions , 1) How many such games like F.E.A.R do we expect in the future which i believe is based on the doom 3 engine?
The reason why i point this out in particular is cuz of this review-
http://www.techspot.com/review/9-ali...top/page9.html
This was a review on Techspot -p;ay attention to the closing remarks on page 10.-not that i am a regular visitor to that site but just something that i chanced upon.

Also, 2) I havent really come across any benchmarks to compare the performance differences between the 256 mb-sli vs 512 mb sli. I opted for the 256 cuz it fit into my budget.

Oh and ive been reading these forums for more than a month actively , never had the inclination to post - but now i will.

Hi ppl, I have been poking around and found a way to stop the vibration thing some ppl are havin trrouble with.

go to start - programs - accessories - entertainment - volume control

then click options then propertise scroll down and put a tick in the sub woffer box, click ok

then the sub woffer is in the pannel and you can lower the slider to lessen the sub woffers base to a level where you get no vibration.

hey presto no more vibration.

Hope this helps some people and stops ppl from the need of tape on there system

Great post!! I haven't been able to post as I have been playing Halo and Company of Heroes. This system owns these games!! I notice I have slight woofer vibration but not noticable (redundant lol). I like the speakers on this thing and for all the ex 7700 owners, the volume control is awsome. the m7700 doesn't have the scroll wheel for volume control, infact it only allows to lower the volume when widnows loads up first (aka wakes up my family), but not the m9700 . I gotta say the m9700 is too awsome of a laptop. Conspiracy blue is just stunning and I am just in love
