I can't wait for mine to get in... still waiting. It's been a week, I believe it's on backorder from High Sierra.

Well you will not be unhappy with this bag

I'm not sure whether I'd want THIS bag..... The one that's like this but SMALLER.... or the one that's similar, but is a BACKPACK instead of a carry bag...

My question is.. is there a way this bag will be too big for everyday use and carry... or is it just big inside, and I should have no worries about where to put it during class (small area under the desks...) Thanks!

Airline friendly?

I'm expecting to buy a fully loaded 8887 in the next few weeks, and like the looks of this bag, but does the "loaded" bag fit well in overhead compartments?

FYI - I spend 30-45 weeks a year out of town, and am currently using the targus deluxe universal case for my Dell 8200...

ajtmcse,
Fully loaded, I could fit the bag in the overhead compartment with ease. And if you travel a lot, I think you'll enjoy the bag more than I do

When I initially got it I wanted the pear and black color, but that was out of stock and I ended up getting the orange and black. I will be getting the pear and black one in the near future, and then I can have one bag loaded for traveling, and one with my work stuff, and just switch bags when needed

Can this bag fit a 3 inch binder, and say two 1 inch text books? If I get this bag, I'll be using it as a normal bag most of the time so I need to know if it will fit what I bring to and from school. Also, is there good back support?
yes it will all those binders too in the middle section

HAHAHAHAA!!!

I had my 8887 loaded with all my extras (DVD burner, power supplies, etc.) and still had room for my CLOTHES (an over-nighter), a 50-piece SPINDLE of DVD-R's (yes, the whole spindle) and a bunch of extra crap... thing weighed about 50 pounds and looked more BLOATED THAN a MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE!

YES, it holds it all. A 3" binder and text books would only slightly dent this thing... and that's WITH the laptop inside.

thx for the replies. I might get this instead since it's cheaper than the Jansport ones. so hows the back support if i'm using it as a backpack with it almost fully bloated?

hard to find something more bloated than MS products. with all their extra "features"
it does have the back pack straps

the one shown

the one shown by Nandy does...as it is exactly line my own...except for the colors.
that looks sweet, i might get one.
nice but it looks kinda goofy with the handels sticking out if you use it as a backpack.

why bump such an old thread?
