can't turn my W3J back on

I just got my W3J, with Intel Dual Core T2500 2.0GHz/667 CPU, and 2 Gb of RAM, two days ago. It worked perfectly, though I had few minor issues with hibernation/stand-by: sometimes I had to restart, to bring the computer back on. So yesterday I closed the lid and had the AC adapter pluged in. Came back about 2 hours later, the computer was in Hibernation/stand-by (whatever it is set to do by default). I tried to bring it back on by pressing keyboard keys, when that failed, tried holding the power button for 5 seconds as it says in the instruction. After all that it was still in stand-by, I could still feel the warm air coming out of the went, and it refused to turn off completely. Next I pressed the Shut Down botton on the bottom and it turned off. I waited a bit and pushed the power botton to turn it on, but nothing is happened. I tried holding the power button for various periods of time-didn't help. Also there is smth. weird about the AC adapter. When it's plugged in to the power source only, the green light is bright and steady, but the moment I plug it in to my W3J the light goes dim and starts blinking. Is it the adapter that is causing the problem? I don't know. But the battery should have had enough power left even if the adapter broke. Also I tried taking off the battery and starting it with the AC adapter plugged in-no reaction whatsoever.
I have no idea of what is going on, and ASUS support is closed till monday
Every bit of help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Have you tried turning it on with the AC unplugged from your W3J, and just run it with batteries? The adapter light should not be dim and blinking, so that may be the source of your issue. There's also been an issue with the standby. I reformatted with my own copy of WinXP Pro, and it got rid of that issue.. So your problem could also be due to the partitioning of your HD having Fat32 and NTFS.

Yes, I tried starting it on batteries, on batteries and AC, just on AC. I don't know if both AC and battery broke at the same time, it seems unlikely since the computer was in operation for only day and a half.

I've seen the same problems on other models, the AC adapter light blinks when connect to laptop, I remember we had to send the laptop back to Asus for repair.

Or you can try unplug the AC and battery, hit reset hole at the bottom of the notebook see if it will turn it back on.

I've tried it a few times, but that doesn't help
