alright, so I know my 8890 has 2x512 200pin, ddr400 with timings of
2.5
4
4
8

... so my question is: What is a good and proven reliable set of 1gb sticks for the 8890? Here is all the DDR400, 200pin, 1gb sticks the 'Egg has... can anyone recommend RAM for me? I'm thinking of the Corsair Value Select for $98 is a good deal because the system select for $170 seems a bit outrageous... or would it be worth it?

thanks

the "pqi" shows good $ for specs - the corsair is ok if u r currently using 2.6v module, if not - do not mix it.

if CPU-Z doesn't show ram voltage, do I have to manually remove the ram and hunt down the product online via serial #'s? ... is there an easier way to find ram voltage?

thanks : )

i m not sure if cpu-z even shows ram voltage (vdimm) since this is kinda built-in option for the bios. even getting the serial number and look for on the net would not always reveal the info needed since the manufacturer are quite de facto lazy (&deceiving). mail them direct if u can now find out is the simplest (&hardest) way.
but yes, chasing info according to the ser nbr is the first step - sometimes, u would be surprised, that it would be included in ur manual or laptop-seller web site

cheers ...
