Also if I get the 9 cell battery pack from gentech does that come with the 6 cell?
I'm not sure, you can ask Ken at GentechPC.

Anyone know if the performance gain from a T2400 processor to a T7200 is worth the price? And how much 3dMark05/06 score and games fps do you think will I gain if i upgrade the processor?
The upgrade from a T2400 to a T7200 is a pretty significant upgrade, with the T7200 your getting the meron version of the chip, with double the L2 cache, native 64-bit support and a higher clock speed. I would say its worth it if you know your performance is being limited by the CPU, but most of the time its not the case and its usually the GPU. But you may still receive a performance boost.

I have a few more questions. If I buy a s96j from gentech now do you think I'll get a x1600 with dd3 memory. Also is it worth putting the extra $100+ into a t7200 or will it be bottlenecked by the x1600.

1. I doubt it, but it really isnt a big issue, the X1600 will still perform very well, just dont expect to go past 420mhz on the memory if you overclock. (Stock 370mhz) 2. I would say its worth it if you plan on doing CPU heavy activities such as video encoding, and some games do benefit from a more powerful CPU.

Why is it that I'm only getting 3395 in 3dMark05? I've expected atleast 3600+ on this machine.
Specs are:
T7200
2gb ram
80gb 5400rpm

Omega 3.8.330

I've installed all drivers in the cd like the power4 gear. I've set the profile in power4 gear to "game"..what am I doing wrong?

One more question, where do you set the frequency of the GPU? Can't find it in the ati tools.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: It's ok now..didn't know that a simple change in the 3d options can make a huge difference..i got score of 4106 now @high performance settings in direct3d tab..

So it looks like the warranty is for parts only no labor? And what exactly is the Intel warranty?

Well I'm tempted by this one and may just give in but I need to do research on gentech (good comments here I've noticed) and generally cool down.

Just got notified that my 0% apr card (useful) will no longer have warranty extending privileges as of May. Banks and credit card companies...you've got to watch them. That would have been handy in the purchase before me.

The above review and comments have been helpful in showing me that this is a nifty machine, and I might have overlooked it otherwise.

In ATI Tray Tools, go to Hardware > Overclocking Settings. @ bazmebaz I would contact gentech and ask exactly what the intel warranty is, because im am not sure.
