Looking at Dell M1210 -- has anybody put a Linux distro on it?

Also, has anybody tried using one of those cellular broadband cards with Linux? Looking at Sierra Wireless AirCard 860 as well.

wireless cards, beats me, google for it, seeing as its a dell, most large distros cater to fit as many big brand models (DELLS) as possible, so if you go with the likes of Ubuntu i am sure you'll get it running no sweat.

I don't have any experience in using these types of cards (under any OS), but Sierra has a technote on their website.. (Always a good sign when the vendor includes Linux setup info.. IMO)

Also here's one user's experience using that card under Linux..

Beware that Dell is now shipping notebook computers with the PCMCIA replacement, Express Card.

Exactly my problem! I am thinking hard about getting a Dell M1210. Big change from my Sager 9750.

I ended up buying an AC860 and a very ugly 3G Phoenix broadband router.
