Are Core Duo processors faster than the regular m processors or can they just handle more apps or both?

Actually no that is not always the case at all. Currently there is not a core duo processor faster than the 2.26M in the majority of applications, and the2.13M ties most duos. The next generation of duo's will definately be faster than the M though.

True, but I suppose it depends on the application and of course whether you are comparing the 'high-end' or 'low-end' Core Duo's with previous gen. New Core Duo's will kick serious butt
