my ode to Thinkpads

My God, I had no idea.

This 5 year old A20m thinkpad is a modern work of art. This, coming from mac a guy. I just received my eBay'd CDR upgrade and broke out my tool kit and my work table all set for full blown surgery. I look for the screws and see none. I press a special looking switch and voila! a lever pops out, and out pulls the drive! no cables! no screws! In 30 seconds I just completely swapped and upgraded my drive. This little lappy has surprised me some new little gem every week but this is by far the coolest. The HDD upgrade was teh suk, it took a full 5 minutes!

Do the modern Lenovo ThinkPads stay true to the old school design and assembly? If so I see a Lenovo in me future....

The T4x series has been a dream to work on. And from what I hear, the T60s are easy too.

I've said it a thousand times - ONCE YOU GO THINKPAD, YOU NEVER GO BACK!!!!

Except for better video cards (the T60p comes close), Thinkpads are dream machines...
