I have installed Systool on my system ,however it could not detect my MOBO, it asks me for a report or to select which mobo I have. Has this happen to anyone?

yes, it will not detect.

but just select the default nforce4 from the cpu oc page.

I put a screenshoot in OP

I just ran the SysTool Stress test for five minutes, which gave it 23 runs. I currently have the FSB set at 208.13, up from 193.75. That has it running at almost exactly 2.5GHz, and the temp topped out at 80C, as read from the PowerNow! Dashboard.

Is this pretty standard stuff? Nothing out of the ordinary, I'm hoping? How does this compare to your's, marker01?

I was wondering, would if be "safe" to overclock the ML37, I know there are always risks, but has any of you guys sucessfully overclocked the ML44?

I'll be adding AS5 mainly just to aid cooling,

Whats this Hammerhead?

Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound.

It's a metallic paste you put between the cpu or gpu and heatsink instead of thermal pads. It increases cooling efficiency.

Thas exactly what i get, around 80C after stressing the CPU for some time. My CPU stablizes at 80C.

80C is not to bad for this processor, even with NO overclocking it stablizes at around 80C under stress test.

my processor gets unstabe after this slight push of 100Mhz, so i dont go any higher.

Maybe if I added AS5 i could go a little higher, but i'll wait for HH review on applying that first

you should be ok, most computer componenet can always take a "slight" push.

for the ML44, i have only gone up 100Mhz, making it 2.5Ghz vice 2.4.

I would go in very small increments, 30-50Mhz at a time, and run the stress test to insure stability.

Thanks Marker01!

Ahh yes hamerhead I have some here i put in my desktop.I never used it on laptop is there a tutorial on how do do it.I dont want to mess my new laptop up.What does the 9700 come with?and why dont they just use the as5 from the getgo?
AW doesn't use AS5 because previous versions of Arctic Silver had problems with longevity/durability. Supposedly this is something that has been fixed with AS5.

Doing this on the m9700 should be very simple. Four screws on the back allow you to remove a panel that reveals both GPUs, the CPU, and the RAM. The heatsinks all have screws that are out in the open, not hard to reach at all. Shouldn't be a problem.

(nodding yes)

Doesnt it already come with power now?

Also what temps and monitors does it show? For the GPUs and the CPU or both?

my temp notes:
CPU:
Gaming: 58-68C
Max load (stress test): 80-83C

GPU:
Gaming: 70-85C

so they run a bit hot compaired to other systems (heck, that's hotter then my desktop temps)
but they are designed to run at these te,ps as they are within limits

I had the same problem, because my drivers didn't uninstall all the way. Make sure and check you device manager to see what version driver you have installed. I will be under processors - mine specifically listed an AMD ML44 Turion. When I checked (after each uninstall and install) It kept reverting back to a microsoft driver. If it doesn't list the driver as AMD 1.3.2 - then your dashboard will not work. Let me know if you have any problems, I will be glad to help.

I'm a little confused. SO I uninstall again, reboot, if it says AMD 1.3.2 then I can install the new drivers?
