"If you are running Windows XP and have a notebook, you most likely are not getting optimal battery life. This is due to a bug in Windows XP not shutting down the USB port properly."

I rarely have anything plugged in that uses USB2 wonder if the bug stills affects me.

I apologize if I'm presenting old info. I did a search on this forum when I found out about the fix but couldn't find this topic or fix.

As to whether or not it actually does anything you would notice...

I installed it out of faith because I use nearly all my USB port and I'm prone to power outages. Just figured I would share.
