Lenovo 3000 N100 Owner Reports?

Are there any Lenovo 3000 N100 owners out there? I was considering buying the 14-inch model, but I haven't really seen any owners reports. Has anyone here seen this laptop in person or has used it? Any comments? I can't decide between this laptop and a Dell 1405/640M. Thanks...

I have the N100 and love it. I have the 15.4" screen though. So far it is great. Great keyboard, battery life, features, and the price to me was about $100 less than Dell. One thing is that they said it would take a month to get. In the end, it really took about a week and a half. When I got the notice that it was shipped from Hong Kong it took a day to get to Missouri.

Screen and Build Quality?

Thanks for the reply. How is the screen and build quality? Did you get the one with the VibrantView TFT? Thanks...

I'm also interested in some user reports for the 14" model. I am considering this and the z60t (or z61t).

I think I got the vibrant view, but I am not sure. The screen is very good and has a great, bright picture and is great for movies. The build quality I would put up with a Thinkpad.

My new Lenovo 3000 N100

Just picked one up at Office Depot for $699 after rebate.

It is the T2300 processor with 80 gig hd, 512mb ram, 15.4 matte, dvd/cd burner, fingerprint security and win xp home. I didnt care that it didnt have Win xp Pro as I plan to upgrade to Vista anyway when it comes out. It is a great machine and quite solid. The speakers are quite weak...just no volume. Not a problem for me as all I mainly do is email and surf and a little ms office. My wife doesnt like the pc speaking back to us while she is around.

I felt a great machine at a great price!

Screen Quality...

How is the quality of the screen on your notebook? Is there any light leakage or any dead pixels? Did you get the glossy screen? Thanks...

reply

I have the matte screen..no dead pixels and have been using it about 5 hours a day for the last two weeks...no discernable leakage
