Hola. I've been reading a bit online, and it seems that the x1400 outperforms the go7400. Has this been the experience of the users here? I find that odd that the e1505 would have a better card than an XPS 1210.

No, but I considered it because I would save tons of $$ going there.
I decided on UCSB though. You know, the University of Casual Sex and Beer. Couldn't resist the mix of great academics and a private beach.

It doesn't as far as I've seen, the XPS1210 according to peoples reviews on this forum scores more in 3d05 than the X1400 powered 6400/9400.
I take chazmans notebookreview GPU list with a grain of salt, while they are correct in the fact that the 7400 has a 64bit bus compared to the 128bit X1400,thats only part of the story as the 7400 has 3 vertex engines compared to 2 in the 1400,also the 7400 seems on average to have much higher clocked memory than the ati, with the XPS1210 coming with the good GDDR3 memory even if only 64mb.I haven't seen a X1400 listed with GDDR3 memory, but may be wrong.
IMO the two are comparable with one having better features than the other in different areas and with 2 equally performing GPU's from nvidia and ATI,personally I would pick nvidia anyday just because ATI's drivers are crap on the whole,I mean nvidia has had driver problems as well, but not to the same extent, and they seem to try and iron out the bugs with sucessive releases unlike ATI who only seem interested in increasing the 3Dmark scores with each release, and this doesn't necessarily mean increased performance in games either.
