5 button Bluetooth Mouse - Which one?

Hey folks,

I just recently got an XPS M1210 and am wanting to buy a bluetooth mouse for it. Can someone recommend an affordable 5 button bluetooth mouse that can be used for gaming? It can be either laser or standard optical...

Thanks,

Uhh if you're going to game STAY AWAY FROM WIRELESS. Plus the fact you'll spend a butt load of money on batteries every week. Get the Logitech G5 or G7 WIRED. If you're just gonna surf the web, email etc... then get a wireless mouse. But if you're gonna game definately get WIRED.

It's horrible when you're in the middle of a match and your mouse just stops. Anyway, that's why I keep recharged batteries close to me (and learned how much time it lasts). Wireless mice don't lag (at least mine don't, but RF, not bluetooth), but the a dead battery may be a problem if you don't keep batteries ready to be used.

Anyway, it's definitely not "every week".

hmm actually the G7 is a wireless gaming mouse and hardcore gamers have no problem with it.. you're also in luck because there's a deal right now for $39 AR, I would jump on it if I were you:

That looks like a great deal... But is it bluetooth?

You see I have bluetooth built into both my laptops and it would be a shame if I had to connect a dongle when I don't need anything extra with a bluetooth mouse/device.

Not sure the Logitech v270 is 5 buttons but heard the mouse last for months with 2x AA batteries. I'm getting one myself. Quality BT mouse don't lag.

Yea I was looking at that mouse... Cool thing is I can buy it from Dell using the $100 coupon that I got from ordering my M1210.

I already have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse for my I9300 and it works great for gaming (mostly WoW, but also Oblivion). But I need another one for my M1210.

My main reason for getting a 5 button mouse is the "back" button is used for running in WoW. BUT I just found out that I can configure the middle button to be used for running as well. Which leads me to my next question...

Does anyone know if the logitech v270 mouse wheel acts as a middle button like most other mice?

I game with a Logitec MX700 wireless mouse and it's absolutely perfect. I've never experianced any kind of lag what so ever, and it's increadibly accurate. Best mouse I've ever used.

yeah, i game with a wireless (RF) mouse just fine, and i assure you it does not get in the way of my performance (just today i was playing with a 4.0 KD ratio)

I have had this mouse and the later model BT510 for the last couple of days, the BT500 gave me a really sore hand and the tracking was poor.
The BT510 is a much more comfortable design easy to set up,but the tracking is so poor that I can't use it to play games or use Solidworks,I'm so disappointed, back to the faithfull old wired microsoft laptop mouse.
I've now tried these 2 BT mice and logitech RF and MS RF x 2 and haven't liked any of them
I hope MS brings a laser version of their wired notebook mouse out as I think I'm finished for the time being with wireless mice

Has anyone heard anything about the Microsoft Intellimouse bluetooth?

It looked nice to me from what I can see, and I have always prefered the feel of microsoft mice.

2 button and scroll wheel

Yesterday during lunch I went to BB and got a MS Wireless Note Optical Mouse 4000.
At the end of the day, I return it. The mouse has a nice feel to it and very fuctional if you can get it in range with the transciever.
It has a very poor range. My emachines has 2x usb on left side and 2x on back.
I'm right handed and the signal would not reach the mouse if it's not on the same side as the transciever.
Though it's a good price, it's not very functional if the radio is weak.

BB also had Logitech V200 onsale from last week for $30 but they didn't remove the sale sticker from it.
Since they didn't remove the sale price, they honor the $30 price any way.

Though this is not a gamer's mouse. It function fine with half-life 2 that I play last night.
The mouse was very responsive and have an EXCELLENT RANGE thanks to the 2.4GHz transciever.
I was able to controll the mouse across the house. What can I say, it's Logitech !

Yes I got mine a few days ago and yes the middle does act as a middle button like other mice.
