Need advice on my 2nd failing notebook

Hey all

So to make a long story short I already pulled teeth getting my M170 from my 9300 as an exchange. I have had 6 bad LCDs and now my GPU fan is going bad and my computers overheating (every now and then shutting off). I fear my 7800GTX is getting eaten up.

My fan is on backorder until the 3rd of August, so that means I have to be VERY careful or my computer burns up.

What do you think I should do? I mean I have to use this computer but if I do my temps get so high. I know it isnt Dells fault the fans on backorder but this babys gonna burn soon.

Any suggestions? Push for a replacement? They already said they can't expedite my fan, and I can't really use my computer...

I know I made a post earlier, but should I worry if I get the 7900GS or 7900GTX over my 7800GTX? I honestly dont want to swindle them, they alreayd replaced one, I just want to game

Ya Dell sucks.

Please people check out other options before buying one.

Or else, deal with some stupid ass indians over the phone, ****ing retards who don't know shit.

I checked out other options, for a college kid with gaming needs it was nice haha. I don't mind a little hassle, I am just looking for an answer that doesn't make me look like I am trying to get more than I deserve.

sheesh...If I had that many problems I wouldn't be staying with Dell. Perhaps you should sell your laptop & consider a different brand.

I already dropped 2+g's into this, and I know that isn't a lot compared to some of you guys, but I have the warranty and I am going to use all 4 years of it. I have other monetary issues to deal with being in school and all. I appreciate your support though hahah

You'll get another 7800GTX.

The 7900GTX does not fit in a 9300.

I don't think its normal to put a 7900GS in either.

Dell sucks. Good luck.

I am sorry for the confusion, I have a M170, that they gave me after my 9300 burned up. I imagine they have to match the M170 now? or would they try to give me something comprable to my 9300 (although anythings better than that by now)

lol...Man you have some anger issues with Dell. Dell has QC issues, just like any other company...Pick just about any computer maker & try their support & you will find yourself in India. Personally I call up Dell Business Support (Nashville) and try to get things done through there.
