Gaming on the Sentia

OK, I'm looking at getting a laptop as I'll be going off to college soon, and the Sentia seems to be the best choice for me.

I've searched the threads for gaming on the Sentia, and apparently World of Warcraft, Quake III engine games and other games of similar graphics intensity are actually fairly playable on it even though the Sentia is not a gaming laptop.

Now my questions are these... for you Sentia users, what are the best playable games on the system? What's the most graphically-intensive game that can be played on it?

I know it's not a gaming system. But I'd only be playing a few things on it. I've done some reasearch, and apparently there's quite a few games that are supported by the integrated graphics Intel provides:

Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time believing Half-Life 2 plays even decently on it. Has anyone tried playing Half-Life 2 on it -- what were your settings and FPS you were getting (and can you post screens if you did)? I'm just curious as to how it'd play. I read a few topics where people said they were going to try Counter-Strike: Source, but they never replied again.

And again, to emphasize -- I know it's not a gaming laptop. I'd be using it for school work more than anything, but I figured I may have a game or two on there that's playable. I may just get the m5500, but I think the Sentia would be best for the use I'm getting.

Thanks!

Check out the XPS M1210 from Dell, its not going to cost you much more than the Sentia 3200

Its core duo, it has a 256 gpu option (but its still turbocache, just a little better than the 950 I think thats in the Sentia..I think it is the 950, but dont quote me please)

Also, I am sorry for talking about dell here, but I know personally I like to hear about other options and stuff, so please do not hang me by my toenails or anything.. shit I hit the wrong button

That's fine I doubt I'd get it, though... I've had bad experiences with Dell computers (a laptop, specifically), and if I don't get the Sentia I'd likely just get the m5500 instead. Thanks for the other opinion, though.

I've played UT2k4 on mine. It gets a little choppy but if you turn down graphics is okay.

Thanks man Can you give me a rough FPS rate and maybe a screen or two? If not that's cool.

Sorry for saying it again but i think the XPS 1210 will be your best bet. Go over into the Dell section, and look click the reviews section, and look at some 1210 reviews. This one guy was playing BF2 at medium settings or you can go over to www.notebookreview.com and see the 1210's review. The reviews are very detailed so i think they'll help you out. If you decide to get the 1210 then look in the f/s section. And you can find a "decked" out one for 1850 $
hope this helps!

I appreciate the opinion, but as I said I'm not interested. Thank you though

Thanks for listening, the new sentia looks awsome. But i'd wait a little bit til there are reviews. (sorry if the first line sounds like sarcasm, its hard to say something that may be interperted as sarcasm because you can't hear the persons tone of voice)
