HP nx9110's hdd type?

Hi,

I opened my nx9110 and took off the broken harddrive, but when i saw the connection type it was using it was so wierd.. I cant figure it out, it isnt the normal IDE, or is it? Somebody please help me!

Wow, looks like you need more camera help than computer help. Anyways, I've seen IDE, but I haven't seen SATA. It looks like IDE. Just look up the model number online. Google is your friend.

Go here, maybe the parts description will say. On my dv8000t it lists it as a SATA hard drive.

The nx9110 hard disk is an IDE 2.5 drive.

The 44 pin interface has a plastic adapter for the HP chassis.

Just remove the adapter and expose the standard 44 pin IDE interface.

I just fitted the HD into a 2.5 IDE external USB 2.0 case (10 EUR, but you mey buy one even cheaper) and it works fine :)
