Ibm t42 bios password lost.

Hey i have a labtop where the superviser password has been lost?
What options do i have buy a new motherboard or?

If you can open the laptop and remove the cmos battery and leave it out for 10-15 minutes then the password would reset.

I have tryet but i got a new password HUH??? now i don´t understand enything now i can´t enter the bios or boot from harddisk..
So is there eny options?

Wrong: supervisor password , you must find it in eeprom, you have to open the laptop and read eeprom then locate password, never erase eeprom !!!

you buy a replacement eprom on ebay and have an expert in surface soldering to swap it out for you. It is a very costly procedure.

Hmm but whatif i buy a new motherboard for the labtop what will that cost?
Or if i buy a empty labtop and but all the itmes over in that?
What will that coast?
