Turn Off GPU Fan

I accidentally hit Fn+F2 and now the GPU fan won't shut off. How can I turn it off??

Fn+F2 again. It will then stop. Soon after that it will go back to default settings.

Yeah except it doesn't stop. And I misspoke: it's not the large GPU fan but the smaller one that, when I remove the cover, looks like it ventilates the RAM.

That fan stays on most of the time if the computer temperature is above 35C more or less

Hmm, ok, well is there any way to make it sound less annoying? Right now it's making this scratchy high-pitched whine that is unbearable.
