just got a compaq 15" m2000z , in transit so i will be getting it hopefully next week

8x dvd rom--from what i understand it doesnt burn cd/dvd just a reader
i got it for the parents mailny cuz it has brightview ,its hard to find any detail specs on this does anyone know
if the hard drive is ata or sata ?
i found a thread about ram conspiracy , im thinking of just getting a stick of ddr333 pc2700 i hope thats ok and does this laptop have a max ram capacity of 1gb or 2gb?
is there a specific cd/dvd burner i should buy ,are cd/dvd all universal meaning i could just buy a notebook rom drive off ebay and it will fit?
...also hows the brightview is it nice
