What cpu's is quickest out of these...

In what order would you put these cpu's in? (In terms of speed):

1. Mobile Intel Pentium 4 @ 1.9Ghz - 512KB Cache
2. Intel Celeron M 380 @ 1.6Ghz - 1MB Cache
3. Intel Pentium M 735a @ 1.7Ghz - 2MB Cache

So what order should they be in? Also is the 1st and 3rd ones the same (Pentium M) architecture but with different Cache and clock speed? Or not?

no offence but I ideally wanted it as a list e.g. 3-1-2.

Thx. You beat me to it. So the 1st and 3rd are completely different cores?

Also how much quicker is the Pentium 1.7Ghz over the Celeron 1.6Ghz? Would it be worth an extra £20 ~$37?

The Pentium M architecture is MUCH different from the Pentium 4.

Pm is the best way to go

In order fastest to slowest 3,2,1. The GPU in the Dell i1300 is Intel integrated Media Accelerator 900 graphics card

is the Intel integrated Media Accelerator 900 faster than what I have now (32MB GeForce4 420 Go)?

Nope it won't. They're about equals. The GMA 900 has some more ''features'', but it wont run games any better than your Geforce 4.

32mb gf4... you sure...

it llooks like you're shopping for a value system, why not take a look into a used CL56 which has a P-M and ATI 9700....will deliver more power than that dell for sure.

Of course. It's like saying...

Will the geforce FX-5200 with 256mbs run faster than a Nvidia Ti-4800 @ 64mb.

Even though the Intel is newer technology, it's got handicapped shader piplines (2 pathetic ones) that function on very low frequency with relatively no cooling. The GF4 on the other hand is a dedicated video card, with probabily also 2/3 shader pipelines but it's set on a much higher clock. I've used both the GMA950 and GMA900 and also some geforce 4 cards, and i can tell you, even tho they're older, the Geforce cards still get better FPS.

whats a CL56? And where can i find one?

Compal CL56 .. idk where u can find them to be honest, havent seen them around in ages.

EDIT: http://www.geared2play.com/products/.../cl56/cl56.htm

^^ Geared2play has them for sale.
----------------------

EDIT 2: They're too expensive for what you're getting. Look into an ASUS S96J if you need a new laptop. Its currently best bang for the buck for gamers

nice find but they are selling it for a lot to be honest, nearly $1500 for a nice config, you can get a much better system these days for $1500, i guess look at the sales forum on here, the CL56 was all the rage a little while ago, so its only normal that they show up on the sale forum now and again. Option #2 is look at some Acers on newegg, can get a pretty cool rig for $1000
