Sager 4200 Battery Dead or Alive

Hello Sager Experts: After owning my 4200 laptop for 18 months, I find myself with a possible battery problem. The problem is that everytime I go from the power supply to battery, the laptop dies, a very fast shutdown (with in 1 to 2 seconds). I suspect the battery, but I have no way to check the charge. I have no battery icon on the bar located in the lower right corner of the screen when the battery is in the laptop.

ALso, if I need a battery, where can I find one for a 4200. I tried Sager with no response.

Any help will be appreciated.

I can't find a Sager 4200 listed; however, here are two choices:
