What's the deal with this w3j+? Is it better than the w3j, and how do you know if what you're buying is a w3j+ and not a w3j?

Thanks

Thanks

the w3j+, or w3j-h026p for more exact terms, has a 2ghz cpu instead of a 1.8ghz on the original w3j. plus, it uses ddr2-667 ram instead of ddr2-533. so yes it is much better than the original w3j and those 2 are only changes. the model should say if it's the newer one because it should say w3j-h026p on the box for the new one. if not, the other way to check is when you look at the system information.

The original north american model has 2 x 512 meg sticks of 533Mhz memory.

The refreshed (new) north american model has 1 x 1 Gig stick of 667mhz memory.

You know, it's actually incorrectly termed as the "refresh". No such thing exists. It's just a different model number, different specs as Asus has done in the past. I have talked to Justin(?) at ProPortable and that is what he told me.

Aside from that, nice pics
