Problem with system warning(cooling)

Hi guys it's my first post here

I have a Portege 3505(the first generation tablet) and it had problem starting from like a year ago. Here's the situation:
The fan in the corner(system fan I guess) had a broken bearing and had whining noise that it couldn't run anymore. When I turned on windows it constantly have a system warning says: "Warning: A problem with the cooling system has been detected. Please turn off the computer immediately, and return it for service). I had it replaced by a third party repair shop(the warranty was long gone and I didn't think toshiba would do the job anymore).

However, after the fan was changed to a good one(which I can still hear it running perfectly fine), the warning still appears on screen. It greatly slows down the computer(so slow that takes like 3mins to open a browser). Any kind of video file is pretty much stall and only hear sound's going. I reinstalled the windows couple times that still have the same problem coming up to the screen after got into windows for a few mins.

Is there anyway to get this fixed that this lappy is not too slow(actually more than enough for just browsing website) that is still working good. Didn't really want to waste it for just the fan problem.

Thanks!
Vinny

Can anyone help on this issue?

I wonder if they may have just changed one of the vent fans and its possible that the cpu fan is the culprit which isnt working. I would suggest taking it to an authorized Toshiba repair shop. Its also possible that your heat warning settings in the bios may need to be set to default. You werent messing with the fan speeds etc with a motherboard utility were you like speedfan or motherboard 5??????

Thansk for reply.
The first system fan was clearly broken as it couldn't run in normal speed. Not sure about the cpu fan has the same problem but unlikely as i don't hear weird fan noise. No software affects the issue as the computer has been formatted and reinstalled Windows for numerous time.

Anyhow......... where can I locate these authorized Toshiba repair shop around NYC/Long island area? I tried to do a search on google or toshiba site but no luck so far.

Thanks

True. However the temp shoots up if the fan stopped working. And I believe this model has only one fan for whole computer.
