best custom laptop

in your opinion, the best company to buy a custom laptop from (include all aspects: price, features, shipping, customer service, actual product, etc.)

That really depends.. I'd go for the core duo on the processor part, but there really isnt "the best" notebook, it all depends on your needs

I ve only had experience with AlienWare and have been very impressed with them. Also i would go with duo core. Your best bet would be to do a search around the forum as there are plenty of articles on the differnt brands.

custom gaming laptop it can be a desktop replacement but doesnt really matter

Well than you should take a look at Asus and Sager. Read the post in my signature there's more info there on the Asus S96j (15.4") and the Sager 5760 (17")

Ummm, is centrino not having to do with the wireless/chipset as well as the processor of the computer, which can include the core duo's?
