Warning: SZ 2xx series do not support VT/Vanderpool

Not sure about the 1xx series of the SZ, but the SZ220's bios does NOT set the processor lock bit, and hence Virtualization is disabled.

This was actually one of the main reasons I wanted a Core Duo processor, so the SZ-220 went back to Best Buy. I really liked it, too.

Can you be a little more clear what you are refering to here? Virtualization for what?

Intel Virtualization Technology, aka VT or VTx or Vanderpool. It's a processor feature on the Core Duo that enables VM software like Microsoft Virtual Server and Xen to run virtual machines without emulation, greatly speeeding them up.

Are you sure it is not only the model carrying a T2300 that does not have this feature?
