I need speakers for my laptop because the speakers in notebook are not so loud.

I found 2 speakers that I can buy and I don't know which to choose?
- Teac XS-2
- Logitech V20

I like the Logitech V20 but don't know if they're good, stable, and etc. Please help me, to choose the right one.

Uff...i read so many reviews found by google, but I'm confused because they all recommend the speakers, but aren't happy with sound. They aren't so cheap & I don't want something crapy.

But they look sexy

i dont recommend usb speakers, i had a pair and they were nothing but trouble, sure they were louder than the laptop, but hardly produced a clean sound. there was also some sound LAG (in games, say in CS you fire a shot, only a second later you actually HEAR it)

Try to find Altec Lansing XT1 speakers, they're excelllent i heard.

Why not just get a pair of headphones or standard amplified speakers to plug into your headphone jack? No need to pay more for USB speakers when you already have a sound device in the laptop.

Are USB speakers powered through the USB port, if so, that would just create less stuff to lug around, no need for another power adapter...

yeah, many usb speakers have it where they are powered through usb port, some do need to be plugged in.

Yes there are speakers powered by the USB bus, but with the USB bus specced to supply 5 volts at .5 amperes, well you do the math...(for those unfamiliar with Ohm's Law, that is 2.5 watts MAX)...

Yeah but some speakers have amplifiers such as the XT1 and it sounds like 6.5 watts, which isnt too bad.

Why do you want USB speakers? Standard speakers that plug into the audio-out jack on the sound card work just fine.

As for what to get then...well, I like my Logitech set. The only problem with Logitechs is that the integrated headphone jack is simply a through-and-through from the sound card and it somehow manages to degrade quality in the headphones. But I don't ever use headphones, so it doesn't really matter for me

And that amplifier can consume no more than 2.5 watts per USB port, and unless it is 260% efficient, can only be 2.5 watts or less. Probably much less, like 1.5 watts.
