Shipping in 10 days?

Is the people ordering the m9700 really getting it shipped in 10 days? From what I have been reading people have been getting delays because of backordered parts.

My order for the m9700 was placed on Tuesday. Within 24 hours my laptop was in Phase 8. Barring any issues, I fully expect it to meet the 10-day ship comfortably.

All I can say is: Do your homework! Call your rep and ask what parts are on backorder. When you config, pay attention if the site says a particular part "may delay your order". If you can, stay away from these parts to help ensure a quick build.

My build is in my sig. Notice I stayed away from the MIMO wireless card, which showed up during config as "may delay your order".

As always, the 10 day is NOT a guarantee, folks. Use common sense. No company can ship a machine with parts they don't have.

UPDATE: Talked to my rep today. My system SHOULD ship tomorrow. That's 4 days from order to ship. Not too shabby!

Well, if my calcs are correct, they are holding to the 10-day promise. I placed my order one week ago and have been kicked up to PHASE 9 as of today.

Well worth the wait from what I've heard.

If you're in Phase 9 today, our systems should arrive at the same time.

I placed my order before the whole 10 day to ship thing, but just got bumped to phase 5 after 9 days at phase 3 (phase 1~3 took about an hour)

i will be very happy if it ships 10 days from now

I'm betting your Airgo card was backordered, which is what caused the 9-day delay.

Don't order the "May Delay Your Order" parts!?!?!?!??! When I ordered a month ago, if I'd taken this approach, I would have got the laptop with NO SCREEN and NO VIDEO CARDS. LOL

True, but they didn't offer 10 day shipping a month ago, either.

Yeah i am sure it was the big one, i forget what the others were but i know the airgo was the last part to be on backorder. But being my current desktop is still funtional and holds it's on with what games i have been playing i didnt think i would be in too much pain from the phase game

6 hours later i was because i wanted it RIGHT NOW

ohwell

its all just time, wont be in dire need for it for about another month before i go out of town, made sure to order early to give plenty of time just in case

When I ordered my laptop all the stuff I wanted was in stock, so hopefully mine will be as quick as you guys. Phase 1 - 3 in a day.

According to the rep, my m9700 shipped today! I have tracking numbers that say it will be at my office Monday.

That would be 3 days from order to ship, folks.

yay poped up to phase 8 today, things seem to be pickin up in pace once they got that airgo card, so as long as they have everything in stock, i could easily see them getting the systems out in 10 days.

now i just have to keep myself from checkin the status of it every hour to see if they have finished phase 8, which is really redundant since i know they wont update it once they do... but then again.. they might!

Hot diggity! They did update mid day! Phase 9



so even though your order might be sittin at phase 3, good news, once you get bumped from it, phases 4-9 seem to go quickly

as long as problems arent found and whatnot, but it also seems to me they are pushing these computers though fairly quickly to cover the high # of orders.

atleast thats my guess.

Post some pics when you get yours, now that there almost dun with your laptop hopefully they will start on mine.
