after reading this i had to call alienware and confirm cause i didn't get this email. so when i called at first the alienware rep was like your order is in phase 4 because we had a part on backorder. then she put me on hold to see what part needed to be ordered. when she got back she told me that all the parts or in stock and production was going to start on monday. then i was all like hell yea i going to get my laptop in about a week. so tripz dont worry your part should also be in stock cause my parts are all in stock so we should be recieving our lappys at about the same time. edit: woops didn't realize that you didn't order the m9700

Yeah..it all good...maybe I wasn't meant to have an Alienware....If this keeps going through the next week and a half I'll need to look at an alternative. I can't be without a PC/laptop by the time school starts...*sigh*..maybe I'll have to look at the Dell's or HP's

Same here don't know why it takes a day to put a computer in a box, but at least it should be sent out on Monday. This weekend is going to be long.

Well I certainly feel better. As you can no doubt tell from my signature my computer has been shipped. Alienware's order status thing must be a little behind. You really ought to check your e-mail to see if you have tracking numbers.

I just got an e mail at 11:30pm saying they shipped my laptop and checked the phase and its now at 10!!! Didn't think they worked on saturdays.

No clue. The last update I received was Saturday morning in which the tracking info stated that my lappy was on it's way from Orlando to...well wherever...but eventually my place.

omg when did u guys order your 9700's. i ordered mine on the 21 of june and im still in phase 3 according to the website and phase 4 according to the cs rep. man they said they were going to start production of my lappy on monday and when i called today the said that i was still on the queue list. man i really think that aw put me at the bottom of the list. so much for the shipping in 10 days huh. well i just wanted to rant a lil bit and blow off some steam.

Hey everyone my lappy arrived yesterday 2 hours before I went to work!!! I don't have a digital camera so I can't take pictures of it and send them to you all right away. Besides you all know what this thing looks like by now. And I'm not that technically proficient but my review...this thing is friggin' awesome!!! Hope you all get yours soon, you will not be dissapointed.
