hi guys ,
i just bought a Dell inspiron E1405 with T2500 2.0/667 core duo and 512mb DDR533 , now i want to upgrade the memory to 2X 1 GB but i dont know what to choose, the 533 is CL4 and the 667 is CL5 the price is about 10$ difference but i want to know wich one would be faster , and any idea where is the memory located so i can change it my self ,is it under the keyboard or @ the back of the notebook thanks a lot for your help

I'd get the 667MHz since you have integrated graphics. You could use the extra bandwidth.

667 is faster.

Actually, the Math on em says they are the same speed, due to latency. The real win would be a 667 with the same CAS as the 533, but no manufacturer seems to want to step to the plate with it.

I got the 5400 at 667 also and my fan seems to be on most of the time.

The 5400 is cheaper than the 5300. I dont know why. Thats why I get it.
