that upped the price a lot for some reason, by a couple hundred i think. I tend to get a new laptop every 3 years anyway.

12% EPP discount = $1,371.80
- $50 coupon = $1,321.80

what r these 2 discounts? i know of the 30% off and stuff from the coupons, im too looking to get a e1505 i cant decide between the x1400 or the go 7300, anyone played current games on either of these? howd it work for u?
tats why you get regular 3 yr warranty and then add completre care.

its only 120 tops for cc
and by not doing the av software you save 100 or so anyways so it evens out

yeah i basically bought the exact same computer but paid 1700... nice deals
post #13 of 30
While the scholarship money is nice (congrats!) it does not really factor in to how good a deal you got from DELL. My employer pays for my notebooks so using the same logic for my last notebook I could say:

Fully loaded E1705 $3,726.00
34% off + 12% off + 2% off + free shipping + free upgrade to DVD burner + money from employer = Total Cost $0

Either way you seemed to have gotten a good deal.

was it the 'back to school' coupon that was stackable with epp?

It was a $50 off coupon i got from this site. PM me if you want it. I think you can only use it with an EPP dicount stacked

I'm psyched. a little dissappointed cause i originally was getting an alienware. but am happy now cause i'm getting a better system with dell. and to tell you the truth, i'm excited to delete every stinking bloatware program dell is preinstalling on it. strange excitement but yeah! what's weird is it says mine has been kitted built and tested, and has been in "boxing" phase for the past two days it's not supposed to ship until the 26th, but i think considering how fast its been built, maybe it'll ship earlier. edit: p.s. i got the small business version of the e1505, the inspirion 6400. but basically the same thing.

yeah mine has been in the boxing stage for over a day now
post #20 of 30
Mine was in boxing from either Monday evening or Tuesday morning, but it finally shipped today. With the 2nd day shipping, it should get here on Tuesday. Do a search of the forum for boxing, and you'll find an interesting post from a few months ago about the build process. Boxing includes shipping the computer from wherever it's assembled (I think it was Malaysia) to the US, and then it is shipped from there.
