Springdale 800Mhz FSB

I've been reading where Intel plans to release the Springdale chipset in 2Qtr with an 800Mhz FSB and 1 MB of cache.
When Intel released the last chipset with the 533Mhz FSB, how soon did Sager adopt this into a laptop? Does anyone know?

Sager picked up the 533 FSB with the Sager 5660 back in October.

So when the new chipsets are released does Sager usually implement them right away or are they released later due to modifications that need to be made for using them in laptops?
I am just curious when Intel releases the new 800Mhz FSB chipsets next quarter if theres a chance the 5660/8887 will be picking it up next quarter.

Yes, there is a chance they will pick it up for the Sager laptops. I'm sure they won't waste any time getting it put in the systems if they're able to, but there would be a lot of testing to be done, so it may be far off if it happens.

Yeah, intel was talking about only going to 3.6 with HT but they'd have 800 mhz fsb...which is 800*4. Wow. Take THAT AMD.

2nd quarter...I should be able to wait that long. Just as long as the m10 comes out around the same time =P
