Some questions about new technology

I'm looking for something to replace my aging i6000d.

I got my i6000d a little over a year ago with the high capacity battery and the battery is already showing signs of significant wear. I used to get about 4 hours with light usage. Now, under the same conditions, I'm only getting about 2.5 hours. Is this normal for dell batteries?? I had a Toshiba in the past which got about 2.5 hours. And after 3 years of owning it, it was still giving me around 2.3 hours on a charge.

I have a tm350 bluetooth right now and notice there is the tm355 now. I was wondering what the differences were and if the widcomm's were still able to operate it (I'm sure they are but would rather a confirmation).

Also, anyone know the difference between the i6400 vs. the e1505 really?

And lastly, about the x1400 vs the 7300 options for graphics, is the 7300 much better than the x1400? I've always been more of a nvda fan and the x300 hasn't been too pleasing.

Looking forward to overclock the 1.6ghz 533fsb to 2.0ghz 667fsb

It is completely normal for batteries to give out as they age. It's not something exclusive to Dell....as for your experience with your Toshiba...I'd say your story is more luck than it is a testament to toshiba's batteries. Batteries can last 3 years with no problems, and they can last just shy of one year. It happens.

The tm355 Bluetooth adapter I beleive is compatible with a newer bluetooth standard than the 350...could be wrong on that one. It might be swappable with your current card. I make no guarantees though.

The difference between the e1505 and the 6400 Inspirons is the badging on the front. The E1505 is sold in the Home/Home Office department whereas the 6400 is sold in the business division.

As for the video card, the X1400 is the better performer than the 7300 nVidia card. Don't know why Dell charges more for the 7300 though. Might be trying to gouge all the Linux users out there
