ok, i got here last night and ive been tweaking it ever since, didnt get to bed until 430 am....
anyhow...
here is a small review(BETA ver.01):
First impressions, fedex guy hands me the package... alot lighter than i had assumed. Everythign packed very well. everything included that i ordered.
Took the beast out, sat ti next to my delll lappy, also not as bulky as i though however when you compare the screens the 16.1" screen is HUGE!
Also ghosting is lamost non exsistent!!!! especially running linux.
first thing i did was rip out the OS, and dual boot linux/XP ... kind fo a head ache sicne you cant install anything to the second hard drive via CD since the cd cant be in there iwt the second HDD... but i booted from the entwork and was up and runnign shortly... no problems with this at all, one of the smoothest dual boot installs ive evr done....
sounds much better than i thought.
QUIET!!!! the power srouce makes more noise than the laptop!!!
tons of option for the video.
viewing at 1600x1200... not as small as id thought, using large icons helps.
DVD player is flawless.... no skips or bluriness.
Netgear card is a CHAMP!!!! the thing will work anywhere,... even outside my apartment building.
Fn key an control key is a major pain in the ass, especially at the linux command line...UGH!
paint job is lfawless.... as far as looks go you cant beat this.
havent played any game syet... ive dedicated the early stages to dual booting, installing all my apps and ive burned a couple of DVD's...
this cause some problems.... the laptop got hot(for the first time) while burning one and crack the DVD+R!!!!!
this was easily remidied by turning the fans on the antec cooling pad(alsoa champ!)
ok time for me to play games and take a TON of pictures for you guys!!!!
also Brain id liek to thank you for convicing me not to cancel my order!!!
