I purchased 2 - 1gig chips and went to change the RAM but...where is it? I opened the memory hatch on the bottom and saw 1 chip but I can't find the second slot. I've never changed the memory in a laptop before and don't know what to do. Help please...thanks!

Ones under the hatch in the bottom that you already found.
The other is under the keyboard. Have fun.

Damn! Any advice on how to get to the one under the keyboard without F*ing up my new PC? I'll have somebody more experienced than me do it now but any advice would be great.

Thanks again.

I have an M1210 and am also going to upgrade to 2gigs of RAM when the memory comes in tomorrow. It's real easy to change the memory underneath the keyoard. At first I had problems but then I found out how easy it really is. The hardest part is undoing the "snap on" cover that sits above the keyoard and over the power button and the status LEDs. At first I tried using a plastic knife but I found the best thing to use was the corner of a credit card. Basically, all you do is find the notch on the right side of the laptop then you push the credit card into the notch and push up. This should unlatch the cover and you just unsnap it from it's normal position. Make sure the screen is level with the keybaord when u do this. Then you just undo the 3 screws on the keyboard and WALA the memory is just underneath the keyboard...

Well hope this helped...
