One of my RAID'ed hard drives just failed and would like to revert to standard non-RAID with the good remaining hard drive. The good hard drive is in the master location with no jumpers and I have removed the bad hard drive. Went into the bios but it seems to be stuck in RAID mode. I looked all inside the 8890 and didn't see any "switches" that I remember reading about. I am ready with a fresh Win XP disc and startup discs etc. but the computer doesn't recognize the remaining drive now. I would like to format it but when in DOS with the A:\ prompt, can't "format c:" since the computer doesn't know it's there or understand, assuming because of the RAID controller but not sure. Also tried location d and e etc. to no avail.
So how do I revert the RAID'ed 8890 to no RAID?
