but now that I think about it, it won't tell you if you have 512mb vs 256mb...

what does it say on your invoice?

You can always do a right click on "my computer"

then go to "hardware"

then go to "device manager"

or you can run 3dmark03, 05, 06 and it will tell you how much ram you have in your gpu

you might find some info there

Did you check power options in your control panel? make sure it is set to always on and not portable laptop. Also try right clicking on your desktop and select Nvidia display/laptop display you can check to see what vid cards you have and also if you have sli enabled. see pics below. __________________________________________________________

aleinware says possible graffix over heating. But after 3 months of waiting my 2 day old malx goes back to alienware! Yippie!

But it makes me glad that I didn't order an AW b/c of all of the shipping issues.
Then again, it makes me sad that mine is taking longer than expected, but hopefully it'll only be longer by a few days, not months...

In June of 2007 and have played on it and used it everyday since then with sheer joy and jubulation . Even when I had vid/software issues, The AW reps helped me out unbelievably quick and thoroughly!! I even love packing it up in the huge backpack and taking it to my friend's, work, library, bookstore or just about anywhere !! I do have a problem keeping it clean though, as my friends are constantly "drooling" on it !
