My wife calls the 2407 a TV, not a monitor. Keeps asking "what is it that you need it for again honey?"
i told her early next year, im getting a second 2407, laptop will be put away for travelling, and I will build me a nice SFF cube pc instead of getting another laptop. there was no smile from her. lol
On to the pics. (Click to open a bigger picture) Pretty much everything is from IKEA; the table, wall shelf behind the monitor/laptop, shelf on the left, cable management tubes you can cut to length you will see later. The laptop is setting on a Kensington Laptop Desktop USB 2 stand. I didnt hook up the USB hub for it yet though. The 9100 is a little thick, so it doesnt sit all the way at the bottom of the stand. It's about 2 inches up. I might try and remove the plastic padding strip inside at the very bottom and see if it can sit lower.

Notice that most cables are not visible. Keeps a very neat and clean look not having eveyrthing sprawled all over the floor. You dont even see cables going from the desk to the scanner and printer on the shelf above. The only cables visible in this shot is the cable for the tv tuner, and the power supply cable for the paper shredder.

Just another view.

If I can lower the laptop into the stand by the two inches, i think it will look better. I can then also lower the 2407 a little. I like to have the tops of the displays aligned. The MX1000 mouse on the right. Funny thing is I was using a 510 before this, and the optical LED discolored the desk a little in the areas the mouse was used....small blotchy red fades on the dark brown wood. I dont see it getting worse since I switched to laser. On the right in the back, external hdd, and external DVDRW. I also took out the CDRW from the laptop and have a second hdd in there.

I name this picture "Fire Hazard"
You can see the cables coming from the 2407, all 4 are wrapped in the cable management tube. The laptop tube has 7 cables in it. Under the desk, you can see the wire cable management rack, also from Ikea; can be screwed on to the bottom of any desk. It comes in very handy. More in next picture.

You can see I zip tied two power strips to the under side of it. I am using about 10 if the 12 available oulets on them. The huge 9100 power brick sits in it nicely, along with 4 other smaller powerbricks for other devices. Nice thing about the rack design, I can hook excess cables onto it, so nothing hangs down. After I push the table back, the power strip cables will be hooked up out of site as well. The ATI TV Wonder USB and a 7 port USB 1.1 hub sits in there as well.

The back of the laptop and stand. You can see the tube zip tied to the right upright. The scanner USB cable, printer USB cable and power cable runs up through there neatly.

Another shot behind the monitors. The cable holder tubes are awesome. I got it in grey, but they have it in black also.
