Would i need a diff wireless card?

I used to have a Speadstream wireless router untill my cat jumped on it from the high windowsill and broke it (the cat that drools broke it). I had bought a PCMCIA Speadstream Wireless card, which i still have not used.
Now, since my cat broke the speadstream router, i have a linksys router.
My question is, would i be able to use the speadstream card with the linksys router? Or would i need to get a card from linksys?

Thanks, i am quite a noob at routers and stuff.

Ice,

802.11B/G are standard technolgies that are consistent from brand to brand. There is no need to stay with one brand for card and router. Heck, I can see several of my neighboring condominium people's routers in my profiles.
