regarding SZ fan noise?

Fan noise is very subjective. What one person may deem to be whisper quiet another will still find unacceptable.
Given my previous experiences with different laptops, such as Dell Inspiron 4000, 8500, 8600, Sony S Series, P3 line (forgot series).
I find the SZ series to be a very big improvement. Its still audible since it is always on but very quiet when lightly used. If under heavy usage, its definetly noticeable that its on but thats to be expected for it to do its job.
The main thing is that its not a whiny noise that would really annoy lot of people... but as I have said, very subjective issue.
To give an idea, my SZ when idling/light usage, makes the sound similar to like a panaflo 120mm fan at low setting, very feint noise.

I have a SZ28 with a 2Ghz Dual Core and the fan noise is a major annoyance. It does not bother me if I am in an environment where there are other background noises, but in a quiet room it really gets on my nerve.
It is not that loud but it is constantly running at a fairly high speed and is quiet audible (unlike my other laptop that you barely ear even when running). My previous notebooks did not have that noise. The fan would stop and only speed up for serious heat up. This one is constantly running and audible in a quiet environment and is a big thumb down for that model.
Might be that with less powerful and therefore less heat up models the problem is not there. That I don't know.
