5760 memory upgrade question

hey guys
i'm planning on upgrading my 5760's memory from 1gb to 2gb.. what type of memory is on this machine?, i know its DDR2 667 SO-DIMM but is it a PC2-5300 or PC2-5400? and what's the difference between them?

Ram....

I just got my 5760 yesterday and it has DDR2-PC5300 667mhz. The brand is Transcend JetRam. Newegg has 1gb modules for $79.99 + $4.99 & $10 rebate. Download CPU-z and it will tell you the brand, timing and model of your ram chips, works great..I ordered my 5760 with 1x1gb with the intentions of purchasing an extra 1x1gb from newegg. I couldn't see spending $150+ when I can get it for $85ish. Hope this helps.... everything I have seen about the PC2-5400 is for overclocking.

Great! you told me everything i needed to know and thanks!!! i have the same plan, I'm gonna buy one of the $80 1gb upgrade from Newegg as well.
