Help me find another computer for my sister (she just got robbed)

Hi guys,

My sister's apartment got completely robbed (ipod, computer, camera...everything) in a damn safe NY neighborhood no less.

As a result, she's asked me and the Ars community to find her a replacement Dell.

She's looking to spend less than $1K. She's flexible on specs. She wants at least 3 years limited + complete care warranty, so one of those "30% off" or whatever coupons.

OR

I was thinking about whether to give her my compouter (i6000, 2Ghz, 4 year complete care) and get me a new dual core?

I've been out of the scene. Are there any new models coming soon?

She might like a d520 or a e1405. The prices should be coming down, because of some new proccessers. Ref

Or, I like the idea of giving her your old computer.
