Worried...

I ordered my area 51 m5550 last thursday. Due to the financing, I had to wait for the papers to be sent which came in on monday. My father sent back the papers that he signed and a copy of his ID. We sent that out Tuesday. I figured that by thursday, Friday at the latest it would be recieved and my lappy would be on its merry way along the phase game. Here it is saturday and I'm still in phase 1. I have tried calling them but their hour of operation clash with my work schedual so now I can't talk to someone until monday. I sent and e-mail early yesterday morning and they promise as response within 24 hours. That hasn't happened. I am just really worried that they didn't get the paperwork or something like that. I know that the order status page is slow to be updated but being in phase 1 still is very discouraging. Any had this happen before or anyone remember how long it took for the financing papers to get to them and be processed? Thanks!

I want my alienware!!

Iam in Uk so dont know if this applies you could be in the states - i went for the financing ordered on a Monday and was emailed link to download finance agreement posted it back on wednesday or thursday, but i got a confirming email on the friday saying they'd recieved it(email from finance company not alienware) but phase didnt change from 1 to 3 until the following Monday.

It's a little different here. They had to send it via snail mail lol. I don't understand why it would take so long though. We are already approved, we already have the physical credit card and everything! I'm just thinking that since they probably got it friday they probably didn't get to it because not a lot of people are that motivated on a friday. Anywho, I'm calling them first thing monday morning lol. I think I might just be too anxious for my laptop and I am overworrying but I dunno.

So I called them monday, they said to call back tuesday afternoon. I called and asked for the same person (gabbi, yabi I dunno but I have her extention lol) so I spoke with her, she said she had to speak with the woman in charge who was "in a meeting" and she will "call me back" HA! Instantly im thinking of all those horror stories, in a meeting means it wont happen and calling back doesnt happen either! Im freaking out here! I told her Id call tomorrow morning if I didnt hear back from her but man... this is getting ridiculou! I want my alien NOW!

I have a friend that also ordered the m5550 last friday, and he is still in phase 1. He said he paid with a credit card too.

My advice to you, as hard as it sounds, is to forget about it. try not thinking about it, and one day, it will jump to like phase 9 or something.

Sounds a lot easier than it is, trust me, i went through it.

Good news, Gabbi called me this morning!! I was pretty convinced when she didn't call last night that I wouldn't get a call and once again I would have to call them. She told me that she straightened it out and within 24hours my laptop would enter the production phase. I checked a little while ago and now I'm in phase 3, finally!
