XTreme-G MobileForce 91.37-v2.50 RELEASED!!! - Page 7

Acctually dont use the setup for it use the .inf to intall them, they have 7800GTX in the inf file. I uninstalled VLC360 app from my laptop and ran 3Dmark05 again and got a score of 9957 thats the highest score i have ever gotten with any driver yet, Im I am shocked with these drivers, I still need to do some testing on realtime gaming with them but it looks like Im keeping these for good!
I'd love to, but I don't know how to do that

The setup is looking for an 7800gtx from a different manufacturer.

Can you walk me through it? It would be good to compare directly against the dell, can I use the .inf from the dell 84.69 or will that have knock on effects

Nobody answered my question. Is nwiz.exe an essential resource to be running? What will I lose by disabling it?
Create a new folder on your desktop and do NOT run the setup icon, instead right click and using ether winzip or winrar extract files to the new folder, then go to your video card properies to update drivers, direct it to the w2k\xp driver folder within the new folder and it should manualy find geforce go 7800GTX it may say that its not designed for your hardware, ignore it and continue and it will load the drivers and you should be good to go, I know it works becuase i downloaded them last night on my girl's computer because i bought her a PA-13 for her lappy and i put a 7800GTX in hers so it should work for you too, let me know how it goes, if it doesent work private message me and i'll make up a step by step on word or excel and paste it in the PM for you, so we can get you up and running, peace!

nwiz.exe, are you using windows xp media center edition?
Nope, I am using Win XP PRO w/ SP2.
Its a profile wizard file for nvidia based cards mostly utilized for MCE, pretty much is worthless just like NVnc32.exe which i deleted too.

thanks for your replies nightravenx

OK I got there in the end. Strange problem though for me I tried your install method with the existing dell 84.69 drivers uninstalled & wiped out with driver cleaner pro (no good) and then tried to install them over the dell 84.69 (no good, wouldnt let me, said "windows unable to find a better driver than the one I have")

So, what I ended up doing was copied the .inf file from dell 84.69 to the folder with the nvidia website download forceware 84.63 and then ran setup from that folder without bothering to uninstall the dell ones first

It worked ok, one error for a dll file not found, suspect .inf file calls something in the 84.69 thats not in the 84.63. Rebooted, everything seems fine, 84.63 is loaded

Ran 3dmark5 with same amount of processes running and I get basically the same score as tony's last release, which is very cool, and is about 8% better than dell 84.69 driver, everything else being equal (46 processes and gpu clocks)

Gonna game and see if it still remains stable, but looks like we have a winner here. 84.63 forceware from nvidia

Thanks a lot for the information, excellent!

Cool that you got it to work, strange that you had to reassemble it a bit, but if it worked, awsome, acctually i had to do something similiar last year for my emachines M6811, I wanted to use a great hacked version of a catalyst but it wouldnt work for my 9600 mobility so i swapped some files from the only mobile driver at the time and mixed it with the hacked driver and it ended up working perfect. But back to these drivers, hands down these are the best stock drivers i have ever installed!!! Score wise these rock!! I'm going to go thru all my games over the weekend and see how visuals are and FPS are, The only game i tried so far was HL2 episode 1 and it looks great and is performing awsome, but that game is kinda hard to compare because it goes anywhere from 35fps to 120fps in different parts, Im gonna test out GRAW,Oblivon, prey, tomb raider and hitman those games usally stay around the same in fps in most parts of the game, but like i said so far so good, and i plan on keeping them. I highly reccomend them so far, rock stable! and great performance for stock drivers, they are starting to shine over tony's 91.31-2.40a

Anyone know if this works with the Go 7800?
Still no response to why it shows up in Display properties > Settings > Advanced shows up as Quadro NVS 510M. I am running the 7900GTX.

Any ideas to why this is?
These drivers work for all of the 4 DELL 7xxx series cards, At least I know 91.31-2.40a does and one of the 84.xx i tried on my 1st e1705 w\7800 i had, i cant remember which. And I noticed this driver and one of the other ones displays Quadro instead of 7900GTX, i have no idea why, something's up with the .inf file in those drivers or perhaps to increase performance, but I ran one tes of 05' and uninstalled them, not only did i loose about 800+ points on my score, i was afraid when some games like GRAW for example auto scans to determine your card, would perfom slower for some reason.
I think that 91.31 is the best out of these drivers, but i downloaded the new Nvidia Stock driver from their website and i just got the highest score i have ever gotten, and im not the only one to confirm this a couple of others have downloaded this driver who are using 7900GTX's that have scored higher with this nvidia driver than even any hacked driver, keep in mind that this is not the dell's website stock driver, this is Nvidia.com's stock driver they have listed for 7900GTXs

i have an m 90 with a 512 quadro fx 2500 and the latest driver wont run any game at all , what should i do
post #134 of 147
I recommend you stick with the Dell stock drivers. There's no need to demand anything more from these cards as they will run any game out there flawlessly. The Dell stock drivers will give you the best performance without straining the card at all.
Most of these mobile stock drivers and hacked have .inf to let your card work, just try a few out
post #136 of 147
you know what? I am back to using the stock dell drivers for 7800gtx

I did a fresh windows install and with dell drivers got 7000 3dmark5
both tonys and the nvidia one with the dell inf file were getting slightly less, dont know why, but happy with the dell now.

I know the other 2 got better benchmarks prior to the install which is at odds with my latest results but there you go. I figure I'll get a wee bit more when i pin mod, so stick with dell

I got them from drivers & downloads, M170, video, 7800gtx and they are fairly new

Exactly!
They still do the job just fine somehow.
Even in de latest games!

I use the stock Nvidia Driver for my 7900GTX and like I wrote before it's the best running driver to date for me, And for my wife's lappy with a 7800GTX I use Dell's Stock Driver and her score and performes quite well too.

I just got an interesting e-mail from a distributor I buy from about merom chips. There is an Architecture flaw on engineering sample T7400 with power consumption. It was originally thought it was something that could be fixed with bios updates, but apparently it’s in the ES chip itself. The real mainstream OEM and retail chips have this problem fixed. Dell has merom chips as an option now on most of their laptops, and with no real new bios update. He also told me that Intel is actually cracking down on people selling ES chips, even removing ads on eBay with people trying to sell ES chips. Apperantly Intel dosent want these ES samples being sold at all. Funny thing also is how some people are trying to sell the ES chips so high, they should have had MSRP of $299 for ES chips and Retail MSRP is $432.00, now I don’t know if this fact or fiction but it would explain why people are seeing power consumption issues with their laptops after putting in a ES T7400 in the E1705, especially when the Bios A02 is a merom ready bios. I think I’ll wait another month or so and just by a Retail version.

Can someone please help me? I've been trying to find and download the best driver for my inspiron 9300 that has a geforce 6800 go in it...I tried visiting the site located on this thread at http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?o...d=717&Itemid=1 , but call me too stupid to live, I cannot find a 'download' button for this page? I'm just trying to get the best drivers to make BF2 look and perform the best on my laptop...

I did download and install the driver from http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?o...163&Itemid=41/ , installed it, but what else do I have to do to get it working correctly? and halfway through the install it came up with missing files like from nvidia? any help will greatly be appreciated.
