Try the 91.31-2.40a, that one worked good for my girl's old 9300 before we sold it

Just wanted to pop in and say I installed this driver yesterday and it works great. No problems or anything so far. I also saw that it said my screen wouldn't shut off when I close it? Mine turns off just like before.

Does anybody get a greyish blank screen instead of a black when monitor goes to powersave and shuts down on 7800GTX cards only? My wife's 9400 does, but my E1705 with a 7900GTX just goes to black like its suppost to.

Installed it on my M170 (7800 GTX) and everything is smooth on BF2 and BF2142

Posting to make this thread back from the dead, it was that helpful to me, LOL.

Anyway, speaking of the 91.47 drivers, they were some 80 points slower on 3d05 for me compared to the 84.63 drivers. I didnt bother with 3d06 after seeing that. I also think that the 84.63's are the same as the latest stock Dell 84.69's, without the turned off NVidia control panel features, as the 3d05 and 3d06 scores between the two drivers are indentical within a couple of points. Anyway here's some numbers, and I give my recommendation for the NVidia reference 84.63's (get .inf from laptopvideotogo) based on what I found researching this stuff.

M170, 2.0, 1GB, 7800GTX OC'ed 430/1200, video set on 'performance', who knows what's running in the background...

3d05 7106
3d06 3634
--SM2.0 1691
--HDR/SM3.0 1706
--CPU 800

Yea Every laptop "9300 & 9400" that i added a 7800GTX to afterwards does give off a glowing gray screen when going into power save, i never understood that ether! MY 7900GTX or when i had my 7900GS never did that in my E1705 so it must be a 7800GTX thing.
