That almost made me drop my laptop.

Upgraded from 84.65. The new drivers seem to be very good for Oblivion. No stuttering, no hangs, very helpful.

Thanks!

Got a problem Tony. I tried to install the new driver and during the installation phase, a noticed popped up asking for the location of a .dll file to install. Example: nvdivsper.dll cannot be found. This is the file to install - and it's asking me the location of the dll file. Very odd.

Clicking continue comes up with another .dll file that cannot be found - and then another...and you get the point. I tried downloading the driver twice and the problem still came up. I really have no idea what the heck is going on. Any suggestions? I even used Driver cleaner and tried to do a completely clean install of the new driver.

Ok, just to ensure everything is all spiffy clean did you use the driver cleaner & reboot & then install the new driver?

i have the same problem as you. i dont understand why some people have no problem

I get the same error. When I try to rename the files (adding the r), it goes along and then gives me a BSOD. I tried the LV2Go drivers and it did the same thing. I'm going back to the 91.33 drivers for now...BTW this is with the 7800gtx.
i have the same problem, i just contineud with the installation and everything seems to be fine. I dont notice much change. BUT, if I right click on desktop, go to properties, then display advanced, and I get to the classic view control panel I see that it says "NV quadro 510m" or something like that instead of 7900GTX. I hope it is not assuming I have that GPU and will affect the card or something....
Well, It appears I am not alone with this DLL problem. I also have a 7800 GTX(In a I9300).

Eagerly awaiting a solution...

Thanks,

Malcolm

The reason some have no problem and others are having problems is that the ones having no problems are using Windows XP ENGLISH, while the ones having problems are using non-English versions of Windows.

The reason being is that I used the English-ONLY version of 91.37 when I created the driver.

I've uploaded a new version of the driver that's based on the International version, but it's 2x as large (about 36MB, versus the original which was about 17MB). If you were having problems, please re-download the driver and try again .

Yep... I was talking about anyone who has anything BUT the English-US version of Windows. Sorry, I should have been more clear .

im keep geting a corupted file.

when i download it its 4.99mbs ony and when i click the exe it says its curupted?
I'm having that corruption problem too. Downloaded file is 4.99MB, and the website file info said 4.99MB, and I just checked again, and it's now showing 1.99MB on the website. Something's obviously wrong:

EDIT: Now it's 5.75MB. This is a fun game. EDIT: Actually, the filesize is just increasing constantly over time. Maybe he's re-uploading the file right now. EDIT: As of 1:32AM PST, the filesize has stopped growing at 35.86MB. Whee! I'm really bored. The installer is actually running now, no more "corrupt executable" error.

same here, BSOD quoting NV4_mini.sys. this is before the reboot, while the screen is flickering and establishing the new res.

ok i am still using the 84.20 forceware driver, is this 9x.xx series driver worth the update?
Like I said before, Oblivion is running more stable and definitely more smoothly, even though we're consistently in the 90F (33C) in London. Had a couple of freezes though that required restrating the game.
