XTreme-G MobileForce 91.37-v2.50 RELEASED!!! - Page 5

Thanks for the drivers, Tony. Working well on my M90 with the Quadro 2500M. Half Life 2 and Oblivion look as good as ever, my 3D Mark 06 scores stayed the same, and I no longer have the annoying nvsvc32.exe crash every time I shut down my computer.
I was getting the nvsvc32.exe error during shut down only, so I window searched all the copies that were on my hard drive including prefetch and just deleted them, didnt effect anything and one less thing running in the background.

No, I'm not quitting... I was making a point. [ BitchMode ] I will be completely honest when I say that I absolutely HATE when people bitch about 3DMark scores going down, yet that's the only thing they try. Get real people. 3DMark is NOT the only thing going out there. If all you do is "play" 3DMark, then you're either obsessive compulsive about getting the most 3DMarks, or you have no life. I'm tired of people complaining because 3DMark scores go down, and even though other games do better, I still get comments like "these drivers blow". I will not say that 3DMark is not a viable benchmark tool, because it is. However, if someone is going to install new drivers, run 3DMark, and the scores fluctuate, and therefore say that the drivers suck, I get extremely annoyed. Hell, I've had 3DMark scores fluctuate after I installed a Windows Update or an updated sound driver. 3DMark is finicky, to say the least. [ /BitchMode ]

hey Tony, sorry man, that came out wrong. Didn't mean to sound like a prick. I have nothing against your, keep up your work. I will always use your drivers... I was just dissappointed with 91.37 set (that's Nvidia's fault, not yours).

thanks for all the good work man!

Hey guys, using these drivers seem to yeild higher overclock results, now i could be wrong, but when i was using the dells i could never get clocks this high with this card. But i was bored and tried differebt settings in coolbits to try to see what combo of speeds i could reach and i tried it 15 times and coolbits accepted 640\770 for my 7900GTX, this would probably fry the card wouldnt it? Ive been testing and playin with 625\750 all day today and they are more than stable and a max temp of 81 degrees is as far as it will go, and im not even using I8kfangui or any other fan control software, cooling is handled by defualt. Can u imagine if these speeds could hold? were talkin just a hair away from the 7900GTX desktop card, I dont think im gonna take the chance to BBQ my week old 7900GTX tho. if temps would stay low enough, in theory, doing a volt mod of vid7-1.28 may get the card at 650\800, another stunt i dont think i have the courage to do ether, Nice to dream tho, lol.

new problem: after gaming ca. a quarter hour BF2 there are big graphic errors like filaments or something like that... or is it because something other?

thanks

If you get artifacts that are like speckels that usally means that your core is clocked to high, if you gaet distortions and jagged lines going from side to side or and object gets long sharp lines to it, that generally means your memory is too high.

Did the temperature monitor get disabled? I can't find it in the control panel in this version.
I didn't get the BSOD. I did notice that with these drivers I kept freezing after exiting a game like Prey and the new Call Of Juarez demo. I would have to reboot.

So im now using the regular 91.37 for the moment. Thx anyways.
I installed these drivers and none of my games would launch, CS:S, BF 2, GRAW, so I had to go back to old drivers

Actually, I don't quite get what your point might be.
After all, you don't write the drivers, all you do is re-package what NVidia put out. If driver XX.YY performs better or worse than driver XX-z.YY-zz, then the praise or blame should go to NVidia, not to you. Correspondingly, you don't need to feel offended by any criticism, since the problems are not your fault. Of course, if the new driver performs better than the old one, then that's not your fault either

Of course, to the people complaining about the drivers, complain to NVidia, not to Tony.

Finally, posting the experiences people have with the drivers, good or bad, is valid and helpful in either case. Thus, if enough people have complaints about a driver (which seems to be the case for just about all of the drivers that came out since 84.whatever for my case of a 7800GTX), then I can save myself the hassle of installing them. That's why I still use one of your 84-series drivers.

I compleatly agree 3d Marks arent everything. I spent 4 K on my M 1710 to game and use for work both not just run 3 D benchmarks. What I look for in a driver is Stability , performence and Image quality in gaming.I can care less about runing 3 d benches as i purchased my machine to game. So Tony just wanted to say their are many of us gamers who apreciate you takeing the time to do your magic with drivers for us. Thank's again

actually that is not entirely true.. you're correct, he doesn't write the drivers, but he doesn't just repackage them either.. The tweaks he makes in the .inf files should make them perform better on a given machine.. so, if you take THE SAME SET of drivers stock from Nvida and 'manipolated' by Tony, his should perform better.. (or worse, when he doesn't get the optimizations right or even if using the same optimization they worsen the performances because of driver changes).. so his doings DO affect the performance of drivers...
Tony, am I right?

Yes, he does include some minor tweaks in the registry settings, but I doubt that those have any significant impact on performance. Does anybody have any numbers on that? I think you can install Tony's drivers with or without his specific tweaks, so this way it should be possible to see the difference.

I have a little problem my 7900 GTX is displayed as Quadro NVS 510M...
yea keep up the good work tony.
My computer BSOD every time (And I tried like 6-7 time) I even TRIED to load up my laptop. Back to 91.33.
So what exactly does Dell do to nVidia's drivers? I know they focus a lot on heat management, but in turn would that not allow the GPU to perform as well?
Just wanted to say that I to noticed these drivers are calling my 7900gtx a quadro as well as really causing some funky things in an older game I play...haven't tried any other games but I'm going back to 91.31

Tony I only wish Nvidia was as thorough as you are in their testing...
