Overclocking...

I've oc'd my video card, using the Nvidia CoolBits reg hack, but now I'm thinking of the CPU. I've overclocked an AMD before from the BIOS, and I know thats not the case with Intels, but I do understand the basics and I have experience. Now, how would I go about overclocking the CPU in this puppy?

Its not advisable to overclock the CPU because of heating issues which is vital to notebooks. Notebooks do not have various cooling options desktops have which is important to overclocked CPUs.

Side tracking....

What are optimal settings in core clock frequency and memory clock frequencies for my nVidia go 5600??

uhh.. lets see...

If I recall, I did this:

Core: 275 MHz
MEM: 500 MHZ

That was really pushing it, but it worked. You might wanna try this one:

Core: 215 MHz
MEM: 500 MHz

Funny, cause I clicked auto-detect, and after running some tests it found that the maximum setting was the recommendation!!
Memory @ 790
Core @ 540

Well, good thing I didnt run any games at that setting, or Alienware would be really disappointed at me...

I saw a video a while back. Two guys made a liquid nitrogen cooled computer. It was running at -180*C. They had a 3.2Ghz P4 overclocked to 5Ghz. It was pretty amazing. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.

Ah, found it. It was on Tom's Hardware. You need DivX to play it. Here's the link.
